What This Means for Buyers
When you purchase a pattern from DarkStitchCo, you receive a personal use license. You own the right to stitch the pattern for yourself or as a gift. You do NOT own the design itself.
You may NOT:
- Copy, redistribute, or resell our PDF pattern files
- Share patterns on social media, forums, or file-sharing sites
- Upload patterns to any third-party website or app
- Reproduce patterns for commercial manufacturing
- Claim any DarkStitchCo design as your own work
You MAY:
- Stitch the pattern for personal use
- Gift a hand-stitched finished piece
- Sell hand-stitched finished pieces with credit: "Pattern by DarkStitchCo"
AI-Assisted Design Disclosure
Some of our pattern designs utilize AI-assisted tools as part of the creative process. All patterns undergo significant human creative direction, curation, editing, and quality assurance. The final pattern designs — including color selection, stitch mapping, chart creation, and product presentation — are the original creative work of DarkStitchCo.
DMCA Takedown Procedure
We respect the intellectual property of others and expect the same in return. If you believe that content on our website infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice.
Your notice must include:
- Your full legal name and contact information
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL or location on our website where the infringing material appears
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner

If you find DarkStitchCo patterns being shared, sold, or distributed illegally on another website, marketplace, or social media platform, please let us know immediately at Contact@darkstitchpattern.shop. Include a link to the infringing content. We take pattern piracy seriously and will pursue all available legal remedies.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error due to a DMCA notice, you may file a counter-notification with your contact information, the material that was removed, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake.
